Dasom: Wow what cave have I been hiding in?!

Dasom: (A) 10320 152 Street (N) 604-582-1919

Sooooooooooo what the fudgesicles popsicles stick is this. I live in Surrey, are we clear here?! I live practically minutes away from Guilford and for 2 years I have never once step foot inside this restaurant. Don’t know what cave I been in but hopefully it’s the same cave from the book ‘The Hunger Games’. So I can make love to Peeta all night long. Hahaha, wow completely off topic. Dasom is the new to me not new to many people restaurant that took over Taco Del Mar.

  • Tea: Complimentary. I find it weird how I love this tea so much!!! The tea was amazing! Don’t know if this is just Korean tea or not but it’s oh so yummy and delicious! Btw, I am a huge tea lover <3 Write that down somewhere.
  • Small plates: Complimentary. Your average small plates from Korean restaurants! I think it was below average.. could use more flavors. The miso soup was cold… how do you serve a cold miso soup?! I didn’t bother to ask to warm it up either.. too hungry for life at that moment.
  • Dumplings: The dumplings were so cute! I had no idea how wonderful the presentation was going to be. Def top notch there for an unknown Korean resto! It wasn’t even bad at all.
  • Pork Cutlet: I thought it was average. Nothing special about the dish. I find Bubbleworld does a better fried pork cutlet. Again the presentation, wow?
  • Bibimbap: They had 2 different kinds, I forgot the name of mine but it had an egg in it. I love eggs. I think more food needs to be blessed with egg yolk. The rice was slightly cold. I really don’t know if it was due to the temperature outside or not.. The whole thing was too plain for me. I am a HUGE veggie lover but I also think I eat enough meat to have the whole generation of vegetarians and their ancestors sparking a huge desire to shove me in an oven and burn me to death. But I’ll just laugh in my British accent because then they will just be called a cannibal because I’m so delicious they cannot handle it. Especially roasted. Anyhow, there was like zero “beef” in this bowl.
  • PS: No idea why the voice in my head is always British.

  • I find it so funny they still had that hut and many other “Taco Del Mar” decors.
  • The restaurant is really cute indeed. Very cozy, clean and you will only find your fellow Korean friends here eating with their family.
  • It’s really decent and cheap. No complaints at all!
