The Pantry: Mother’s day brunch!

The Pantry: (A) Guilford Town Center (N) 604-588-3244
The Pantry use to be our go to place for breakfast. When I was younger my family use to come here every Sunday. Especially for the breakfast buffet option. I thought they still do that but noooopee, remove it “2 years ago”. Well isn’t that great. Anyhow, we went here for Mothers day brunch with my family. So. Much. Food. Overall, it was a nice time. I guess when you enjoy company, it can make the food taste better. I don’t remember the last meal we all had together ever since I moved out and all. Happy Mothers day, being a mom is the hardest job of all. And I am so thankful for my loving, hard working and inspirational mother. About the long nagging text messages AND fb comment, yes I do regret teaching you technology, mother. But I do love you enough to read and ignore them. JK!!

  • The Pantry Omelette: My mommy’s meal. Served w/ ham, roasted mushrooms, red onions, red peppers, cheddar cheese and salsa. Served with fresh hash browns or toast. I took a bite or maybe two or even 3 out of this because my food came out late. Actually maybe even half of it. Nothing so remarkable.
  • Traditional Stack: My dad got pancakes, nothing special. I did eat one piece… I really like their pancakes. So fluffy… IM GONNA DIE.
  • Kids Meal: Basically we got 4 order of this. Pretty much the same thing, just cheaper and looks cuter. Like that happy face. Damn I wish I got that. The kid meals are no jokes here, a perfect size for me. Don’t judge me.
  • The All Canadian breakfast: My literally stick skinny sister eats for two. It runs in the family. She ate this, serves w/ 2 eggs, 3 bacon, 2 sausages, ham and a short stack of pancakes, served with your choice of toast and hash browns. That didn’t even make her full. Creepy much.
  • Corned Beef Hash: Monkey boy’s meal. Out of everything I tested out on this table, this was by far the best one. Perfect seasoning for hash brown, the corned beef made this dish pretty much. Oh and I can’t forget the runny egg yolk. I told you so, egg yolk makes everything better.
  • Potato Pancake Benny: I wanted to be fancy and all, so I ordered from their new menu. Basically it’s a benny but without the english muffin… it’s replaced with HASH BROWNS. The dish wasn’t bad but I do prefer the traditional benny over hash browns. I mean you cannot go wrong with hollandaise with breakfast. Or anything. Oh god I’m so fat.
  • Perfect restaurant for family. Very kids friendly there!
  • Pricing isn’t that bad. I mean for our breakfast everything ranged between $11-13 bucks. Kids meal I believe is still under $10. I think the website is pretty useless how they don’t mention the pricing on there. Gotta get on that bro
  • Usually take big reservation without a problem. We came on Mother’s day for a group of 10 and they took us in right away!
  • They do offer pretty good deals, just gotta watch out for it! There’s a 2-1 special on the website at the moment.
