I came here for an afternoon tea with my mother for my birthday. Originally, it was a date between my mom and I, but somehow my sister tagged along because she was all in my face like “so what do you want for your birthday I can come downtown with you and mom and you can pick out your present” Sold. You’re now invited.

Petite Tea Service ($28): This is the “lighter” tea set, which actually is pretty good if you don’t want a heavy lunch. Comes with a three-tier that includes a small selection of tea infused sandwiches, sweets including a fresh scone with signature creme and jam. The selection they offered were all really appetizing. The amount of time spent on this was well showed through. I’ve had high tea at Fairmont for my first experience and of course.. that was heaven. Urban tea merchant is not as fancy, but you’re stepping into a boutique that knows exactly what they’re doing. The service also includes your choice of premium tea. We each had our own teapot and tier. I find it amazing how the server can tell which tea is which just by smelling the pot. Umm… teach me?!?!?!!
