MI QUANG + MI CAO LAU ($7.75)
I’m pretty sure we ordered from the “new” menu because this it’s missing from the one I found online. Anyway, it’s pretty much mi quang + the sauce from mi cao lau. The combination is excellent. I loved everything about this dish. Mi quang is one of my fave viet food, not exactly a well known one (heck I found about it not so long ago), but it’s a speciality here. I’m not sure if the prices I reference are accurate, I feel like it’s not.
BUN BO TAI QUANG NAM ($7.50)
This is the MOTHER of all bun bo I ever had. Shit I think it even top the one I had in Vietnam, and I’ll let you in on WHY this bun bo is better than the one I had in the motherland. Are you ready? Okay, the cows sucked. Whateverthatmeans. Their beef sucked. This is probably the BEST beef I’ve been blessed with, in my soup. And if you disagree with me, we may have to have a few words together. It’s in their marinated beef, so damn good I died. The broth was I-slurped-it-dry kind of good.
TOM CHIEN ($5.50)
Deep fried whole shrimp & pork spring rolls. My new fave. Coming from someone who hates spring roll… means a lot alright?
