Sal Y Limon: (A) 701 Kingsway, Vancouver (N) 604-677-4247
Sal y Limon – we know you’re going to ask so here’s the skinny – is pronounced like “Sal E Leemon” and it means salt and lime (of course it does!). This vibrant Mexican restaurant is the brainchild of two couples – Carolina and Sebastien, Adriana and Pepe – who want to share their passion for authentic Mexican cuisine.
Even for a hot day, this was approved.
The thing that I love most about this place..
9 different sauces for you to pick out. (pick all 9 like us)
AL PASTOR BURRITO ($8.50)
Marinated pork with pineapple
Barely could taste the pineapple, which was a good thing because I don’t particularly enjoy eating soft pineapples. The burritos here are excellent.
CARNE ASADDA, CHORIZO, CORDERO AL CINLANTRO ($2.25 EACH)
Grilled beef, lamb marinated in cilantro, and mexican sausage (LAMB FORTHEWIN)
9 sauces here aren’t a joke, I love them all.
SOPES CHORIZO CON QUESO ($8.75)
Mexican sausage with cheese
Normal people would be done eating. We aren’t normal so had to try the new tacos, shrimp and fish. Both delicious!
Owners were so nice, gave us some complimentary churros. These are the bomb!! Fresh & hot with chocolate drizzle.
Even for me, this is a bit overeating it for the first meal of the day, at 1 PM. But it was worth it and I would do this again, EVERYDAY if god required me to do so. Or even if he didn’t I guess I would too. All I’m trying to say is, I get bored of food (super easily) but I think I can really eat this everyday…
and if you can’t you’re really really super weird.
And we cannot be friends anymore. Don’t even read my blog anymore.
